Got to a vortex and experience energetic balancing
Go to an area of multiple vortexes where few tourists go. At the site, I will teach all about vortexes from a spiritual perspective, along with providing interesting geological and historic information about the area. Learn a technique to call in the energy and perform energetic balancing.
Create a spiritual artwork, to take home.
No talent is required, just a willingness to create
If the weather permits, work outside beneath the energy of Courthouse Rock. Look at historic artworks. Use colored pencils and paint to create a work of art. A studio tour is also included. Cynthia Tierra studied Art Education at The University of Arizona, was a certified K-12 Fine Art Specialist and taught art for several years.
Play with Sound
Play different instruments that have been used for meditation and healing, including the drum, singing bowl, digeridoo, native flute and silver branch. Also explore using your voice as an instrument, no singing ability or talent required, just a willingness to try. Explore the sacred vowels, just like people from ancient times.

Sedona On A Budget
By Cynthia Tierra
Gas prices are high. Everything else also seems to be getting more expensive. If you’re considering taking a trip to Sedona, but are concerned about the costs, there are ways to save money
One of the most expensive items on any trip is lodging. Since you are probably going to be out and about most of the day, your motel room will basically serve as a place to shower, sleep and regroup, so consider staying in an inexpensive motel. If you have an R.V. or a tent, paying for a camp site saves money Camping is available in Sedona at campgrounds operated by The National Forest Service. Visit The Red Rock District Ranger Station web site.www.redrockcountry.org for camping information. Another possibility, Rancho Sedona R.V. Park 1-888-641-4261 is privately owned. Lo Lo Mai Springs (928) 634-4700 also offers tent sites, cabins, and r.v. spaces. A basic cabin at LoLoMai will cost about half the price of a motel room.
If you're considering purchasing a timeshare, timeshare companies offer low cost rooms to potential buyers. Local companies are: Fairfield Resorts (928) 203-9744, Los Abrigados (928) 204-1520, Sedona Pines (928) 292-6640, and Sunterra (928) 204-9481. You will need to set aside a few hours to attend their presentation in exchange for a discount price on a room.
The second most costly item on a trip is usually food. If you are into fast food, Sedona has a Subway, Wendys, Taco Bell, McDonalds (complete with teal arches) and a Burger King. You can also go to the Deli Department at local grocery stores and get sandwiches to go. If you like healthy organic offerings, go to New Frontiers Natural foods market deli. Getting your food to go is less expensive. If you eat inside, there is a local surcharge. Once you get your food, have a picnic in the Sedona Community Park or at the ramada on Cultural Park Road. The views from both these picnic areas are spectacular.
If you’re looking for a cheap snack, buy a beer at The Oak Creek Brewery in West Sedona and fill up on free popcorn and peanuts
For low cost sight seeing, pick up a FREE map from the official Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center in Uptown Sedona. Don't bother going to roadside establishments offering FREE visitor information. These are owned by timeshare companies. While you’re at The official visitor center, buy a $5 a day Red Rock Pass that allows you to park in Forest Service parking areas. Most convenience stores and gas stations also sell passes. Do your own tour to the well known vortexes. Most of them are within a reasonable walk from the parking areas. You’ll find the major vortexes at Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Airport Mesa and Boynton Canyon Vista.
There are over 100 hiking trails around Sedona, and taking a hike is totally FREE, other than needing a Red Rock Pass to park at the trail head.
Even though traveling can be costly, you can save money on a vacation in Sedona. Why miss out on the red rocks and natural beauty? Sedona is unlike any place else on earth. It’s worth the trip.
